London's "Chelsea" club strategist Jose Mourinho assured that forward Fernando Torres still has a future within the ranks of the "aristocrats."
In the UEFA Champions League quarter-final match against the PSG team held on Wednesday, which "Chelsea" lost with a score of 1-3, the team played without a nominal forward, while F. Torres, who entered the field from the bench, did not do anything special there.
"Does Torres have a future in the Chelsea club? Yes. He works hard, is useful to the team, but we want him to score goals. He also wants that," said Mourinho.
"I respect him a lot because he is a player who deserves respect. You have to respect a person who gives everything. Fernando does that, but we need more," Mourinho added.
"I think that during all the time he spent at the club, he had good moments and some of them were important for the team," said the Portuguese coach.
This season, representing the "Chelsea" club, F. Torres played 33 matches and scored 9 goals.
