Vilnius "Žalgiris" football players won another victory in the A League. Defending champions under the guidance of Marek Zubo defeated Pakruojis "Kruoja" 2-0 at home. J. Wilkas (39 min.) and K. Andreou (80 min.) scored goals for the winners. "Žalgiris" newcomer L. Pilibaitis failed to convert a penalty kick in the 64th minute, which was awarded for a handball by a "Kruoja" player.
