n Lithuania, the first semi-final match of the LFF Cup was played on Tuesday, where the tournament winners battled it out.

At the LFF Stadium "Trakai" met Vilnius "Žalgiris". After a tough fight, the capital's footballers celebrated a minimal victory.

In the first half, neither team managed to impose their game. The game was dominated by a standstill and both "Trakai" and Žalgiris had opportunities to score, but they failed to send an accurate shot into the goal.

The second half began with the dominance of the Lithuanian champions. Marek Zubo's pupils created chances one after another, but they failed to score, and the "Trakai" players could not take advantage of the mistakes by the "green and white" and send the ball into the goal after counterattacks.

However, in the 74th minute, Žalgiris managed to break through the goal defended by Tadas Kauneckas. After a precise pass from Kristis Andreou, Frenchman Serge Nyuiadzi outsmarted the opponents' goalkeeper with a header.

At the end of the match, the "Žalgiris" team could have secured the victory with another goal, but with a numerical advantage, when Darius Cibulskas was removed from the field for a foul on Jakub Wilk.

The return match between "Trakai" and Žalgiris at the same stadium will take place on April 29.
