Carlo Ancelotti after the dramatic match with Borussia Dortmund admitted that Real Madrid was lucky to still be in the UEFA Champions League.
Yesterday in Germany, Jurgen Klopp's team almost created a miracle. In the first leg of the tournament's quarterfinals, Real celebrated a victory with a score of 3-0, while Borussia won against the "whites" with a score of 2-0 on their home turf, falling just one goal short of extra time.
"All matches in this stage of the Champions League are difficult," the coach told journalists. "We were lucky to reach the semifinals.
"We are happy to be in the semifinals, but we are not content because our second leg against Borussia was poor, especially the first half.
"In the next 45 minutes we were better. Initially, we gave gifts to our opponents and made some rough mistakes, but that's football," added C. Ancelotti.
The draw for the Champions League semifinals will take place next Friday. The team from London, Chelsea, also advanced to this stage.
