In the French Championship, the leaders of "Monaco" club are already looking for a new team coach, dreaming of ending the dominance of "Paris Saint-Germain".
According to the sources of the newspaper "L'Equipe", the brightest star of French football, Zinedine Zidane, has caught the attention of Russian oligarch Dmitri Rybolovlev, the owner of "Monaco".
This season, the 41-year-old Frenchman has been an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Madrid's "Real". In January 2014, after studying at the Limoges Center for Sports Law and Economics, Zidane officially received his football coaching diploma.
"I am ready to take a new step in my career," said the 1998 World Champion in an interview with "L'Equipe Magazine" in January 2014.
This season, "Monaco" is being coached by Claudio Ranieri. The 62-year-old Italian, who has been working at the principality club since 2012, helped the team return from the second French division to "Ligue 1", but his future prospects raise many questions.
According to "L'Equipe", D. Rybolovlev already has a list of coaches who could replace the Italian after this season. The list includes not only Zidane, but also Argentine Marcelo Bielsa, Italian Fabio Capello, Portuguese Paulo Bento and Jorge Jesus.
