The Klaipėda "Atlantas" footballers secured their third victory in the Lithuanian A League, defeating "Šiauliai" at home with a minimal score of 1-0.
The only goal for "Atlantas" was scored by Jurijus Kirilovas (26th minute).
For "Šiauliai", this was their fifth loss of the season. Only Alytus team "Dainava" has suffered more losses without earning any points.
With 7 points, "Šiauliai" remain in seventh place. "Atlantas" (12 pts.) moved up to third place, trailing the leaders Vilnius "Žalgiris" and Gargždai "Bangos" by two points.
However, all the other teams have played one game less, so they still have a chance to improve their positions.
