Before the UEFA Champions League semi-final draw in London, "Chelsea" hoped that they would draw Madrid's "Atletico" club, as the Cup winners would have to play without goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
However, UEFA does not promise any favors to the "Blues" and T. Courtois will be able to play against "Chelsea".
The young Belgian national team goalkeeper is a player for the London club, but currently plays on loan for "Rojiblancos" team.
"Chelsea" immediately objected to T. Courtois playing against them, as otherwise they would expect a 3 million euro compensation from "Atletico".
UEFA released a statement clearly stating that "Atletico" will indeed have the services of T. Courtois in the Champions League semi-finals.
The first match between the English and Spanish teams will take place on April 22nd, with the return leg in London on April 30th.
