London's "Tottenham" club is looking for a new manager who could take over the team this summer to replace the unsatisfactory Tim Sherwood.
The main contender to become the manager of "Spurs" is considered to be the head coach of the Netherlands national team, Louis Van Gaal.
However, the 62-year-old specialist has not yet made a decision about his future after the World Cup. Recently, the Dutchman has been linked with the possibility of coaching the "Manchester United" club.
"Tottenham" director Daniel Levy had already met with L. Van Gaal after Andre Villas-Boas was fired, but at that time, the Dutchman did not want to work at both the club and the national team simultaneously.
Nevertheless, after stepping down from his position as head coach of the Netherlands national team after the World Cup, the specialist has mentioned that he would be interested in the possibility of coaching one of the "Premier" clubs in England.
If "Tottenham" fails to attract L. Van Gaal, as an alternative, the team's leaders have considered the manager Mauricio Pochettino, whose "Southampton" team is currently in eighth place in the "Premier" league this season.
The 42-year-old Argentine's contract with the "saints" is valid for another year, but for now, M. Pochettino refuses to extend it, as it is expected that the team will lose its key players in the summer.
