Atletico Madrid's manager Diego Simeone confirmed that Chelsea from London is seeking to buy Diego Costa, but he insists that the player's future depends solely on him.
It is believed that Chelsea will pay 42.5 million euros for the 25-year-old footballer, and the Spaniard will arrive in the English capital after the 2014 World Cup.
D. Simeone also mentioned that his word in this deal does not decide anything and he will not interfere with any player who wants to join a financially stronger club.
"It depends on Diego Costa himself, but I will support any decision he makes. It is natural that Chelsea is interested in him. I must admit, it makes me happy because my goal is to develop good footballers.
We understand that Chelsea has huge financial power, and I will accept Costa's departure. A similar situation was with Radamel Falcao, how could I convince him not to move to Monaco?" - D. Simeone shared his thoughts about his players.
The 43-year-old coach added, "Samuel Eto'o is getting old, so Diego is needed for the London club, but at the moment he is a member of our team."
