Liverpool's "Everton" team announced yesterday on their official website that they have extended the contract with long-time goalkeeper Tim Howard until 2018.
The 35-year-old American's previous contract was set to expire in 2016, but the goalkeeper has decided to link his future with the "Toffees" until the end of his career.
"This is fantastic news. Tim is the best goalkeeper in the English Premier League. These years are very important for him, as he will be playing in the World Cup. I am very happy and I know that this news will bring benefits to the team," said the team's manager Roberto Martinez.
At "Everton" club, T. Howard has been playing since 2006, but was officially bought in 2007. During this time, the footballer has played 342 matches and has scored one goal.
In the Premier League, the Liverpool-based team is still fighting for a spot in the UEFA Champions League.
