English Premier League club "West Ham United" announced on Friday that the team was shaken by a tragedy - the team's striker Dylan Tombides has passed away.

The young footballer was only 20 years old. The young man passed away at his parents' home. In 2011, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer (seminoma) and for three years he fought against the insidious disease.

The footballer relentlessly pursued a professional career and tried in every possible way to overcome the adversity - in 2012, just a month after surgery and still undergoing chemotherapy, he already appeared in the "League Cup" matches within the ranks of the "West Ham" club.

"West Ham" has already announced that before Saturday's evening match, they will pay tribute to the footballer who has sadly passed away with a minute of silence and wear mourning armbands.
