The footballers of Real Sociedad from San Sebastian secured a crucial victory at home. At the end of the match, the Basques defeated Barcelona's Espanyol 2-1.
The guests from Catalonia scored the first goal, but Sergio Canalesas equalized the score in the 32nd minute.
The decisive goal was scored by Carlos Vela in the 90th minute. Three points were important for the "Sociedad" team in their fight for the right to play in the UEFA Europa League next season.
