On Tuesday evening, the semifinal stage of the UEFA Champions League started with five matches played.

At the "Vicente Calderon" stadium, Madrid's "Atletico" faced London's "Chelsea". The winner in this match was not determined as the teams parted ways without any goals.

The first half started with pressure from Diego Simeone's players, but the home team struggled to break through the defense of "Chelsea".

By the 18th minute, the "Blues" faced a serious problem when goalkeeper Petr Cech got injured after a corner kick, and the Czech was replaced by 41-year-old Mark Schwarzer.

Throughout the first half, neither team had many real chances to score, and the scoreboard remained 0-0 after the first 45 minutes.

In the second half, the game remained unchanged, and "Atletico" continued to try to send the ball into London's visitors' goal with not very dangerous opportunities.

In the 60th minute, the hosts' goalkeeper Diego created one of the most dangerous moments of the match when he took a shot from about 20 meters out.

Fifteen minutes later, "Atletico" players could advance. "Rojiblancos" captain Gabi took a precise penalty shot, but it was saved by M.Schwarzer.

During the match, there were scuffles between players, and in the 73rd minute, John Terry also suffered an injury. "Atletico" did not take advantage of the forced substitutions for "Chelsea" and remained without a goal at home.

The return leg between "Atletico" and "Chelsea" will take place next Wednesday. The advantage will be sought to be proven at "Stamford Bridge" stadium.
