"Liverpool" club revealed plans for the reconstruction of "Anfield" stadium. The Merseyside team plans to expand the home stadium, which currently holds about 45 thousand spectators. The number of seats in "Anfield" would increase to 58.8 thousand, making "Liverpool" have the third largest stadium in the Premier League, behind only London's Emirates and Old Trafford. "Liverpool" club is still negotiating with the city council regarding the acquisition of residential buildings surrounding the stadium, in order to start the reconstruction of the stadium according to the plan. It is reported that the reconstruction works should start at the beginning of 2015, and the stadium should be ready for the 2016-17 season.
