Marco Reus, the leader of the Borussia Dortmund club, refuses to comment on any rumors about his contract with the team.
His current contract includes a €35 million release clause, which other clubs can use to acquire the German player. However, this clause will only come into effect in the summer of 2015.
It is reported that the club wants to remove this clause and offer a new contract with a significantly higher salary for the player. However, Reus himself refuses to comment on these rumors.
"I won't say anything about the contract, but I want to emphasize that I feel great at Borussia," said the 24-year-old German.
Reus has been mostly linked with Manchester United, whose helm could be taken over by Dutchman Louis van Gaal in the summer.
This season, in the Bundesliga, the German player has been demonstrating excellent performance, scoring 16 goals and providing 13 assists in 28 matches. He also stood out in the UEFA Champions League tournament with 5 goals and assists.
