As stated on the official club website, the new President of the Bavarian team is 61-year-old German Karl Hopfner, who previously held the position of senior vice president of Bayern.
The German champion had to search for a new president after Uli Hoeness resigned from his post in March and was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison for tax evasion.

Meanwhile, the other news is related to the main goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who has extended his future with Bayern until 2019.
The old goalkeeper's contract with Bayern was valid until 2016, but the German national team player did not hesitate to extend the contract for another three years.
"Our goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has extended his contract until June 30, 2019. The deal is wonderful for us, as this player has expressed his desire to compete for Bayern throughout his career," confirmed CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Neuer, 28, arrived in Munich in 2011 and Schalke received 18 million euros for the German. In three seasons, he appeared on the field 147 times.
