On Sunday night, the winner of the Italian Cup was revealed at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

In the country's capital, "Fiorentina" led by Vincenzo Montella met with the players of Rafael Benitez's "Napoli" in the final of the "Coppa Italia" tournament.

Within the first 20 minutes, the Neapolitans put their opponents on the ropes: forward Lorenzo Insigne scored two goals.

"Viola" fought back and softened the result in the first half. Juan Manuel Vargas scored in the 28th minute.

In the second half, the score remained unchanged for a long time. "Fiorentina" gained a numerical advantage in the 79th minute - their opponent's goalkeeper, Gokhan Inler, received his second yellow card and was forced to finish the match early.

However, this didn't stop Benitez's team from winning the trophy. Dries Mertens scored a goal in extra time.

This is the fifth time that the "Napoli" club has won the Italian Cup.
