Already in the fifth minute, the visitors took the lead - Gerrard redirected Kewell's header towards the goal, leaving defender Hyppia with an easy finish.

In the 13th minute, Henry equalized the score, but the goal was disallowed due to offside.

"Arsenal" continued to control the game and finally took advantage of their first real chance after half an hour: a great pass by Pires found Henry, who sent the ball into the net with his left foot.

In the first half, "Liverpool" ended up leading as Owen scored with a precise shot three minutes before halftime, beating goalkeeper Lehmann.

Coach Arsene Wenger's speech during the break seemed to work, as "Arsenal" suddenly scored twice at the beginning of the second half and found themselves in the leading position. In the 49th minute, after a pass from Ljungberg, Pires jumped ahead of goalkeeper Dudek and scored. A minute later, Henry leaped past the defenders and scored into the bottom right corner.

This seemed to shock Liverpool's players and turn their plans upside down. The match continued and Henry continued to terrorize the opponents' defenders. His efforts paid off in the 77th minute when Bergkamp's shot bounced off Dudek, and then Henry's follow-up hit the net.

After the goal, both teams calmed down and only through Gerrard's efforts did "Liverpool" try to change something, but the match ended like that.
