Last season, the Italian Serie A club Roma, which finished in tenth place, quickly added two players to its ranks - they loaned Brazilian Emilson Sanchez Cribari and acquired half the rights of Italian Manuele Belleri.

25-year-old central defender Cribari, who previously spent six years at Empoli, failed to secure a place in Udinese's team in the 2004/05 season due to a serious knee injury. Lazio borrowed him for a year with the option to buy the player for 1.5 million euros at the end of the next season.

Two years older than Cribari, full-back Belleri also spent a long time at Empoli, and only played for Udinese last season, where the team managed to finish in fourth place in the Italian championship.

Meanwhile, as Udinese prepares for the Champions League tournament, they are one of the most active Italian clubs in the transfer market, mainly strengthening with players from lower league teams. The club has already acquired six players from Atalanta, bought C. Obodo from Perugia, who played for Fiorentina last season, and also purchased two players from Treviso and another five footballers from other teams.
