The owner of the Italian Cup, Milan club, continues to strengthen for the new season and has signed a contract with Brazilian national team and former "Flamengo" goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
The 25-year-old player has signed a three-year contract with the new club, valid until the summer of 2008. He spent the last six months with Verona's "Chievo" team, after deciding to move to Italy once his contract with "Flamengo" expired.
However, "Chievo" had only signed a formal contract with the player, because the Verona club was doing a favor to the Milan giant - "Inter" had exceeded the limit of foreign players and according to the rules in Italy, a team can only sign a foreign player after selling one abroad or acquiring a player from another club in the same country.
Julio Cesar played for Brazilian "Flamengo" club for seven seasons, during which he played over 130 matches, but after moving to "Chievo" he did not play in the starting lineup. The goalkeeper has represented the Brazilian national team six times.
On the other hand, going in the opposite direction - from "Inter" to - was the 38-year-old veteran. The Verona team needed a new goalkeeper, as they lost their main goalkeepers J. Cesar and another veteran, L. Marchegiani, who left the team.
