London coach Arsene Wenger admitted that the increasing financial power of the club is making it difficult for him to successfully search for new talented players.
"In the transfer market, you first have to let Chelsea make a decision, and then decide for yourself," said A. Wenger. "There is a separate price for their club and all the other teams. You just have to wait for their decision... It's frustrating, but it's true."
Despite this, A. Wenger believes that he will be able to assemble a team that can seriously compete against another capital team controlled by Roman Abramovich.
"We are behind Chelsea in the market, but no matter what they or other clubs buy, we need to strengthen again and fight for the title of champions."
Speaking to journalists, the Frenchman also admitted that he is somewhat surprised by the rather slow player market. In the coach's opinion, all the major transfers will still happen in the future.
