22-year-old S. Garcia, a graduate of the Barcelona youth academy, signed a four-year contract with Zaragoza, and according to the agreement between the clubs, Barcelona will receive a fifth of the next transaction amount.
24-year-old Ewerthon scored 74 goals in 119 matches in the Bundesliga over four years. Unofficial sources say that the German club will receive 3.5 million euros for this transfer, and Ewerthon himself reportedly signed a five-year contract with Zaragoza.
Zaragoza recently sold their top scorer of last season, David Villa, to Valencia, and did not extend contracts with forwards Goran Drulic and Javi Moreno. It is believed that the club will soon sign a contract with former Valencia and Lazio player Claudio Lopez.
