Due to the break in the first qualification rounds of the Champions League and UEFA Cup in the "A Lyga," the Vilnius team "Vėtra" had a few days off and started preparing for the second half of the championship. Nigerian-born Irish citizen Anselem Orisakwe arrived for a trial at the club.
This season, "Vėtra" has scored 19 goals in the Lithuanian championship so far, significantly behind the leaders "Ekranas" and "Kaunas," as well as lagging behind "Sūduva" and "Atlantas," so the club's management decided to strengthen the attack.
The 25-year-old forward Orisakwe, who started his career in the Nigerian team "Enugu Rangers," later moved to Ireland and played for three clubs there - "Home Farm," "Shelbourne," and "Aer Lingus Trophy," as well as competing for the London team "Leyton."
If Orisakwe's skill satisfies "Vėtra" coach Sergey Borovsky, he will join his compatriot Israel Awenayer Douglas in the club, who has been playing in Vilnius for the second season but has not been able to establish himself in the main team.
