Serbian striker Veljko Paunovič signed a three-year contract with Getafe, the Spanish top league club announced on Monday.
The 27-year-old former Atletico Madrid striker spent the second half of last season at Hannover 96 after being released from his remaining contract by the Spanish capital club.
In the previous season, his new Serbian club finished in a respectable 13th place in the 20-team tournament in Spain.
Recently, former German national team player Bernd Schuster became the new coach of Getafe, taking over the team from Quique Sanchez Flores, who became Valencia's strategist.
