There are 12 months left until the contract of Germany national team captain Michael Ballack with Munich expires, but the German is not in a hurry to sign a new contract.

In a recent interview, M. Ballack openly admitted that he wants to test his skills outside of Germany. He intends to do so after the end of the World Cup in Germany. According to sources from Italy, Milan would like to have this 28-year-old German midfielder in their ranks. They hope to get him without a transfer fee in the following years.

However, the management of Bayern Munich would like Ballack to stay in Munich - the leaders of Bavaria hope to sign a new contract with the talented midfielder and keep him for a while longer. One of the club's leaders, former "Inter" star Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, hopes that Ballack will agree to stay at Bayern club next year.

"I understand Michael's desire to change the environment. I myself, at the age of 29, went to play in the Italian peninsula. But we will do everything to keep Ballack. Our club trusts this player and we want to see him in our ranks," said Rummenigge.

"Inter" is ready to offer the German a three-year contract. If Ballack still decides to leave Germany, "Inter" management would have to face other serious competitors. It is no secret that "Man Utd" would like to see this player in their ranks. London's "Chelsea" is also interested in him.
