Ukraine and Poland are seeking to jointly host the 2012 European Championship and will submit an official application to UEFA on Thursday.
A 400-page document outlining the technical capabilities to host the championship has already been presented to the governments of Poland and Ukraine by their football federations, and will be officially presented to UEFA on Thursday.
This alliance between Poland and Ukraine will face competition from Croatia-Hungary and Turkey-Azerbaijan alliances, as well as Italy, Greece, and Russia. UEFA plans to announce the country or alliance that will host the 2012 European Championship on December 8, 2006.
