Munich's goalkeeper Michael Ballack is preparing to begin negotiations with regarding a possible move to England.

As reported by online media, Manchester club manager Sir Alex Ferguson would like to invite the German for a trial before the end of the season, however, this could be hindered by an existing contract with German champions until the summer of 2006. A representative of the English club "Sunday Times" claimed that the German goalkeeper did not hide his enthusiasm for receiving this offer.

Last week, the captain of the German national team reportedly rejected an offer from Turin's "Juventus". Besides "Juventus", this footballer is actively being pursued by Milan's "Inter" and Spanish clubs. Madrid's "Real" and "Barcelona" would like to see the German in their ranks this season and offer him an increased salary of up to £90,000 per week, aiming to outshine the offers from their English competitors.

"Michael is well paid by "Bayern", but it's not about the money. He wants to make a new long-term contract, and what is most important to him is winning the Champions League," said a representative of the English club.
