After a year's break, Celta Vigo, which returned to the highest Spanish football league, is significantly strengthening. For some time now, the club has been negotiating with Manchester United for defender Kleberson, and today officially announced that Argentine Diego Placente has signed a three-year contract with the club.
The 28-year-old Argentine national team member is moving to Spain after spending five seasons at Leverkusen. D. Placente began his professional career in 1995 at the Argentinos Juniors club, and two years later moved to River Plate.
The defender came to Leverkusen in January 2001 and was part of the team that impressively reached the UEFA Champions League final that year, where they lost to Real Madrid.
