The Champions League winner club continues to actively participate in the player market. Reports in the Spanish media claim that the team led by Rafael Benitez has made an offer of around 10 million euros for defender Daniel Alves. This offer, according to "AS", was immediately rejected.
The successful player, who this summer attracted interest not only from Liverpool, but also from other elite teams like Madrid and Turin, now seems to be considering staying with Sevilla. The Sevilla team has not discussed selling the player.
However, the situation may change now, as Brazilian Julio Baptista has decided to stay with the team. In the Spanish league, there is a rule allowing only three non-European Union citizens to play at the same time. Currently, Sevilla has four such players - J.Baptista, D.Alves, Adriano Correia, and Luis Fabiano.
However, Alves plans to obtain Spanish citizenship in the near future and solve the problem.
