Participating in the evaluation of the Edinburgh club, the Lithuanian national team forward played his first match in the team, in which he ran onto the field from the beginning of the match, scored a goal and helped his team win against "Hull City" eleven in a friendly away game.

Since the Czech players R. Bednar and M. Pospisal were not ready to play, Jankauskas started in the attacking lineup alongside C. Elliot. In the defensive line, "Hearts" coach G. Burley let S. Mikoliunas play, leaving D. Cesnauskis on the bench.

"Hearts" dominated the game together and in the 24th minute after a pass from C. Elliot, Jankauskas scored a close-range goal and put his team ahead. In the second half, Jankauskas was substituted in the 63rd minute by D. Cesnauskis. The visitors had opportunities to score, but the result remained the same - the victory for the Scottish club was determined by the Lithuanian's only goal.
