"Turin and French national team forward David Trezeguet admitted that he has not been tempted by the possibility of moving to the English champion Chelsea and did not even think about leaving his current club.
"Chelsea" eagerly sought to attract the famous forward from Turin club to their team before the start of the season, offering a sum of 38 million pounds, but the 27-year-old French forward claims he has not heard of such an offer and insists that he is satisfied with playing for the Juventus team.
"I was on vacation in the United States and did not follow Chelsea's interest in me. I am very happy with Juventus, and I do not plan to move to another club. If Chelsea really was willing to spend such an amount of money, it is nice for me. The English club has made a lot of efforts to build a competitive team. But on the other hand, I have gained the trust of my coach, and he also wants my contract with the club to be extended," said Trezeguet.
Trezeguet is looking forward to playing alongside Patrick Vieira, who moved from Inter Milan to Arsenal this summer.
"After Patrick's arrival, the club clearly began to show its ambitions, whether it be in Serie A or the Champions League. But I was very surprised by his move. We talked to each other during the holidays, and I really thought he would stay at Arsenal. I am very pleased that he arrived, we all know his advantages. After all, he was a symbol of Arsenal for the past few years. He will certainly bring something new, very useful to the team, and I agree with coach Fabio Capello that with Emerson, he forms the best midfield pair in the world," the forward said.
