While the fans of Lithuanian football were waiting for the "Kaunas" meeting with "Liverpool", one postponed match of the 16th round of the Lithuanian "A league" championship took place, in which Vilnius team "Vėtra" won against another team from the capital city, "Vilnius".

In the first half, neither team managed to score, but in the second half, the away team was brought ahead by their leader M. Panka, who scored in the 62nd minute.

However, "Vėtra" did not give up, and in the 77th minute, they equalized against "Vilnius" with a penalty kick scored by A. Preikšaitis, and just four minutes later, they defeated the opponents' goalkeeper and brought the hosts ahead with a goal by Š. Litvinas.

"Vėtra" won the Vilnius team derby with a score of 2-1 and, moving up to third place in the championship standings, surpassed Marijampolė's "Sūduva" by six points, while "Vilnius", trailing by six points, remains in sixth position.
