In Munich, friendly matches took place between youth teams under 17 years old from Munich and Israel-Palestine. The matches were played on Monday in the new Munich stadium.

The young stars of Bayern won with a score of 4-0, but the guests from the Middle East did not give up without a fight and earned the sympathy of the audience for their determination. After the match, a giant towel was hung on the goalposts, on which the word "PEACE" was written in Arabic, Yiddish (Israel), English, and German.

Strict security measures were taken during the matches. Israel's deputy prime minister Shimon Peres was present to watch the games. At his initiative, a five-day trip around Germany was organized for the Israel-Palestine team.

Around 40,000 students from all over Bavaria had a day off from school to watch the matches. 800 buses with students arrived in Munich to watch the matches.

The remaining students watched a live broadcast from the "Allianz Arena" stadium in their classrooms. This was the directive from the Bavarian Ministry of Education.
