The Brazilian star Julio Baptista once again expressed his desire to stay in Spain for at least a year in order to obtain Spanish citizenship.
On Tuesday, "Sevilla" announced they had almost reached an agreement with London club for a fee of 24 million euros for the Brazilian known as "The Beast," but J.Baptista himself stated once again that he wants to play in Spain for at least one more year to obtain citizenship of this European Union country.
"This is the best choice for me at the moment," said the 23-year-old Brazilian. "It is very important for me to obtain Spanish citizenship."
Unofficially, it is said that if the Brazilian gets an EU passport, he would be very sought after by top Spanish football clubs like "Barcelona" and "Real Madrid."
"I am very pleased that teams of such caliber are interested in me," said "The Beast." "However, I need a year to think everything over."
