Club representatives announced that they have almost reached an agreement with the Dutch national team and AC Milan legend Edgar Davids regarding his transfer to London. According to the English, Davids should undergo a medical examination this Thursday.
London team officials had previously announced that they had almost acquired Davids, but the player's agent Rob Geerings denied these claims, stating that his client is still considering offers from several clubs.
However, now even Geerings himself confirmed that Davids has traveled to England to sign the contract.
"Edgar will arrive in London tomorrow to check his health and finalize the last details of the contract," said Geerings.
Several English teams were interested in Davids besides Tottenham, including other clubs, but everything seems to be leaning towards the 32-year-old Dutchman signing a contract with the London team.
According to the English press, the main factor that led Davids to choose the London club is the £50,000 weekly salary offered by Tottenham and the promised additional bonuses.
