On Friday, they officially announced an agreement with La Coruña for a transfer fee of £3 million for the striker Walter Pandiani.
Uruguayan player successfully played for Birmingham City last season on a loan agreement, and the team's manager Steve Bruce wanted to fully acquire the striker, who scored four goals in 16 matches last season.
Although negotiations for the player took a long time, the clubs finally agreed and W. Pandiani signed a three-year contract.
W. Pandiani played for La Coruña for five years, one of which he spent on loan at Mallorca. The striker spent the first four seasons of his career at the legendary South American club Penarol.
