Italian national team and "Serie A" champion from Turin defender sees his future with his current club - the player decided to extend his contract for two more years, which will now be valid until 2010.
The 28-year-old Zambrotta, who has recently been interested by London's "Chelsea" and Milan's "Inter", is considered one of the best players in his position not only at his club and in the national team, but also on the Old Continent. Earlier, he played on the right side of the defense line, but the former "Juventus" coach Marcelo Lippi made him an excellent left-back.
Zambrotta arrived in Turin six years ago, when "Juventus" paid 10 million euros to the "Bari" club for him, and since then he has won three Italian championship titles with the Turin team, as well as two supercups.
The player, having extended his contract, will be able to demonstrate his skills tomorrow, Saturday evening, when "Juve" continues preparations for the new season and plays a friendly match against the "Benfica" club in Lisbon. In the Italian supercup matches taking place on August 20, the "Juventus" team will face Milan's "Inter" at their home stadium.
