Thanks to a superb performance by Nourdin Boukhari, Amsterdam won the Dutch Super Cup for the fourth time in club history by defeating Eindhoven 2-1 on Friday.

PSV, last season's UEFA Champions League semi-finalists, made only three changes to their lineup: newcomers Timmy Simmons, Ibrahim Afellay, and Theo Lucius replaced departing defenders Mark van Bommel, Johann Vogel, and Park Ji-Sung. Lucius, who was the most attacking defender in this match.

Although PSV took the lead after Wilfried Bouma's goal, Ajax, missing several key players due to injuries and resting leader Wesley Sneijder for the upcoming UEFA CL qualifier against Brondby on Wednesday, managed to step up their game. In the end, N. Boukhari scored a penalty and provided a great assist to Ryan Babel, leading Amsterdam to victory.
