The defender of the Brazilian national team Kleberson is leaving and will represent the Istanbul team next season. After passing a medical examination, the Brazilian signed a three-year contract with a possibility to extend it for another season with the Turkish club on Monday. Kleberson, 26, joined "Man Utd" after the 2002 World Cup, where he won gold medals with his national team. Manchester club paid about 9 million euros for the successful Brazilian's performance for the "Atletico Paranense" team. However, Kleberson suffered a shoulder injury in his second match in England and later, after recovering from it, he could not establish himself in Sir Alex Ferguson's team, so he was sold to "Besiktas" for 3.6 million euros. "I am very happy to be here," Kleberson said at Istanbul airport. "I had no problems accepting this offer, but I had to convince my wife. Last week she agreed to visit Istanbul and then she was convinced." According to Kleberson, his decision was influenced by a conversation with his compatriot Ailton, who also recently moved to "Besiktas": "No one has ever received me so well. My first goal is to prove my skills to the coach, play and be useful to the team. Ailton spoke highly of Istanbul and Besiktas. It's wonderful to be here."
