Representing the club from Seville, Spain, Brazilian Ricardo Oliveira threatened to leave his current team if the club's management does not agree to increase the player's salary.
"The club has some financial problems," Oliveira said. "If these are not resolved in the near future, I think it would be best for me to leave the team."
"I am not asking for any extra fees, I just want the club to increase my salary because I feel a little undervalued at the moment. I know the club has serious problems, so I hope they will be resolved soon, as I want to be secure about my future."
Olivera was the top scorer for "Betis" last season, scoring 22 goals in "La Liga" and helping his team secure a place in the UEFA Champions League. However, in the third qualifying round match this week, which "Betis" won 1-0, Oliveira did not play due to a minor injury he sustained during training.
