On Wednesday, the defender of the Finnish national team confirmed that he extended his contract with the strongest European team of last season. The new contract, according to which the player will compete in the English club until 2008, will be officially signed on Thursday.
The 31-year-old footballer was excited to play for "Liverpool" team for another three seasons: "Of course, I am very happy that we agreed with the club on a new contract. Everyone dreams of playing in the "Liverpool" club and I am proud to say that I will play in this club for at least three more years."
Currently, Sami Hyypia, like other players of the club, is in Bulgaria, where today they will play the first UEFA Champions League third qualifying round match against Sofia's "CSKA" club.
