Italian national team and Turin goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will have to undergo surgery due to a shoulder injury and will not be able to play for about three months, confirmed today by the Italian champions club.
The goalkeeper got injured during the "Berlusconi Trophy" match against "Milan", which his team lost 1-2, after colliding with opponent's player Kaka. After examinations, it was revealed that the injury is serious and requires surgical intervention.
Buffon's surgery on his right shoulder will take place on Wednesday, and according to preliminary doctor's estimates, one of the best goalkeepers in the world will not be able to help "Juventus" team and the Italian national team for about three months.
