One of the big summer signings for Moscow was Brazilian player Mozart, who moved from an Italian team to Russia for a transfer fee of about 6 million euros and signed a four-year contract with the new club.
25-year-old defensive midfielder Mozart started his career in Brazil at the "Parana" club, then moved to "Bordeaux" in 1998, but returned to his homeland and played for "Coritiba" and "Flamengo" teams.
Mozart arrived in Italy and "Reggina" in 2000. The second attempt for the Brazilian to establish himself in Europe was successful - he played 137 matches and scored 9 goals for the Italian club over 5 seasons, becoming the team captain.
