On Sunday evening, the last two matches of the fourth round of the French "Ligue 1" championship were played. The other eight matches took place on Saturday.

The first setback of the season was experienced by the reigning champions Paris "P.S.G" club, who after three consecutive victories played a 1-1 draw with newcomer "Troyes" this weekend. The Parisians took the lead after 36 minutes with a goal from Pedro Pauleta, but at the beginning of the second half Sebastien Dalletas managed to equalize. It is worth mentioning that from the 59th minute "P.S.G" had to play with ten men, as Edouard Cisse was sent off for rough play.

With the same result, 1-1, the other Sunday match between "Toulouse" and "Saint-Etienne" ended. The "Toulouse" players took the lead in the 41st minute after Moreira's goal, but in the 61st minute Hallebuyck sent the ball into the "Toulouse" net to equalize the score.
