On Sunday in Palanga, an international U-17 age group football tournament called the LFF Cup began, which was started with a victory by the Lithuanian youth (up to 17 years old) national team.

In the first match, the Lithuanians defeated their peers from Azerbaijan with a score of 3-2. All goals were scored in the second half - in the 46th minute, Jevgenijus Morozas put the hosts ahead, while in the 58th and 63rd minutes, Povilas Krasnovskis and Marius Ambotas scored.

Tomorrow, on Tuesday, the Lithuanian U-17 national team will face their peers from Ukraine, who suffered a narrow defeat against Belarus in their matches, and on Thursday, Lithuanians will finish the group stage matches against Belarus.

Meanwhile, in the matches of Group II on Sunday, Russia played a high-scoring draw of 3-3 against Poland, and the young team of Georgia won 1-0 against Latvia.
