In the first round of the League Cup, "Hearts" faced third division "Queens Park", so the team coach G.Burley made eight changes compared to the last league match - only three players kept their place in the starting lineup, including Jankauskas trying to regain form, so D.Cesnauskis, who hasn't played this season, finally got a chance to show himself, and S.Mikoliunas started the match on the bench.

In the 16th minute, "Hearts" took the lead. After Cesnauskis's pass into the goal, S.Simmons shot towards goal, and when the goalkeeper saved his attempt, Jankauskas was the first to rush to the ball and send it into the net.

Shortly after, a header by Jankauskas from a shot at goal by the defender was cleared from the goal line, and just minutes later the Lithuanian himself missed a good chance, shooting over the goal from a few meters away. However, his efforts finally paid off, and at the end of the first half, rushing to another loose ball, Jankauskas managed to score his second goal.

The second half was actively started by Cesnauskis, who had played quite sluggishly in the first half, confusing two defenders and passing the ball to his compatriot Jankauskas, but he failed to get past the defender. Later, Cesnauskis himself came close to scoring, but his shot from 20 meters went completely wide of the goal.

With sixteen minutes left until the end of the match, Mikoliunas also appeared on the field. The result remained unchanged for the rest of the match, so "Hearts" won by a two-goal margin and advanced to the next stage of the cup.
