In the past season of the English Premier League, Liverpool, who finished in fourth place, decided to strengthen their team with players from Italy - they have already added a former club and Italian national team defender, and after passing a medical examination, an AC Milan and Netherlands national team defender will also join him.

25-year-old M. Ferrari has been loaned to Everton for a year, with the option to be bought out at the end of the season for a fee of 5.4 million euros. Ferrari signed a contract with the English club on the same day it was revealed that his fellow countryman, defender Alessandro Pistone, suffered a cruciate ligament injury and could miss the entire season.

The Italian Ferrari, born in Algeria, has changed clubs frequently in his early career, representing teams like Spal, Genoa, Lecce, Bari, and Inter. In 2001, he moved to Parma where he spent three years and was considered one of Italy's most promising defenders, but after joining Roma, he failed to fit in.

Meanwhile, Dutch player A. Van der Meijde, who will undergo a medical examination in Liverpool over the weekend, is expected to transfer from Inter to Everton for about 3 million euros. The 25-year-old player made an impression with his performances at Ajax in Amsterdam, but he has struggled to establish himself at Inter in the last two years.
