The legendary match held at Vilnius' "Žalgiris" stadium attracted about 100 football fans and team supporters. Knowing that such a number of people rarely gather for I League matches, this can be considered a significant triumph for amateur SFL.

The match started with an attack from the "Kiemas" team, but the young Vilnius players could not break through the disciplined team from Kaunas. In the beginning of the first half, the leader of the "Kiemas" team, Nikolajus Misiukas, who was very active, could not continue the match due to an injury after a collision with the "Viči" defender. Despite losing their leader, "Kiemas" continued to press their opponents, while the Kaunas team tried to respond with counterattacks. The first half ended without any goals, and the teams went to rest with the score at 0-0.

Just at the beginning of the second half, "Kiemas" forward Martynas Sadauskas broke free on the edge of the field and, from approximately 20 meters, shot past the "Viči" goalkeeper Andrius Kazlauskas. After the goal, the "Kiemas" team stayed in their half of the field, and the Kaunas players desperately tried to equalize the score.

With about 20 minutes left to play, a "Viči" forward shot into the net after a melee in the penalty area, but before that, while trying to correct an inaccurate shot, he committed a foul against the excellent "Kiemas" goalkeeper Andrius Kirijakas.

With about 10 minutes left, "Viči" almost scored a goal that we rarely see in any league around the world - a Kaunas team forward shot over himself, but the Vilnius goalkeeper reacted to the not so strong shot.

In the 85th minute of the match, after a rough mistake by the "Viči" defenders, Karolis Astrauskas found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but he failed to score. After playing for about five more minutes, referee K. Jugas announced the end of the match, after which it became clear that "Kiemas" would continue their battles in A division next Sunday, while the "Viči" club from Kaunas will play in the lower B division.
