On Sunday, two more matches of the fourth round were played in the English Premier League. After them, the sole leader position was lost by Chelsea, who was defeated by the successful Charlton club that started the season well.

The London team convincingly won 3-0 away against Middlesbrough. Charlton scored their first goal in the 37th minute, when Dennis Rommedhal sent the ball into the net with a precise shot from 15 meters.

With 9 minutes left to play until the end of the match, Chris Perry doubled the score with a great penalty shot, and in the additional time, Darren Bent scored the 4th goal of the season for Middlesbrough.

In another match, Man Utd also convincingly beat the struggling Newcastle club 2-0. The goal was awaited by the 52,000 spectators watching the match until the 66th minute, and it fell into the hosts' net - Wayne Rooney sent the ball into the net from about 14 meters.

Although the Newcastle team tried to attack and had several chances to score, Ruud van Nistelrooy once again defeated goalkeeper Shay Given in the 90th minute and ensured a victory for the Red Devils.
