Portugal's champion Lisbon, after yesterday's acquisition of Greek Giorgos Karagounis, has added another player from Serie A - Turin's club has loaned the 27-year-old striker of the Italian national team, F. Miccoli, to the Portuguese for a year.
Last year, Miccoli had transferred to Fiorentina team, but this summer, after some shrewd negotiations, Juve managed to get back the player they had previously sold 50% of the rights for a much lower price.
However, it was clear that there would be no place for him in the Turin team, so Miccoli ended up on the transfer list. Initially, the striker rejected offers from Moscow's CSKA and Portsmouth, and only on the last day was loaned to Benfica. Additionally, next year the Lisbon club will have the opportunity to buy the Italian for approximately 6 million euros.
The Italian champions also decided to loan out Croatian national team defender Igor Tudor to the team for a year, who played for a Tuscan club since January of last season. Although the club's director Luciano Moggi currently denies it categorically, it is believed that Juve, who were very active on the last day of the transfer market, are still trying to negotiate the acquisition of Roma's players Antonio Cassano and Mancini.
